Constructive society relies on open conversation and honest debate. Those elements have been replaced by ideological tribalism.

The media has abandoned journalism. Instead, they spin stories of good and evil. They constantly invite us to play the righteous protagonist — battling the villains they define for us. We are pushed further into our respective corners and mild disagreements become epic wars.

Human beings once sat around campfires and exchanged ideas…passionately expressing and intently listening. Sustained conversations are becoming a casualty of social media and disconnected soundbites. At Fundamental Freedoms, we want to rage against that particular “Dying Light”.

It is okay to enter a conversation unprepared to do battle. It is okay to change our minds. It is okay to have great respect for those we passionately disagree with. Fundamental Freedoms is about proving this is true.
